July 27, 2012 at 12:04 pmMan. They hammered you on the FB post about the Swedish Country look picture. BH&G should have featured the picture with the style board inspiration- that curtain fabric didn’t photograph well at all. So I stood up for you a bit…trolls and all. xo

July 27, 2012 at 12:14 pmAh, thanks. People were really mixed about that room! The funniest comment was “I don’t get it. Is this what’s popular now?”
I think it’s a pretty room.

July 27, 2012 at 5:21 pm[…] I’m loving these color palettes based off Wes Anderson movies from Whorange. The Rushmore palette is my favorite. Love the saturated colors. (via Making it Lovely) […]

July 28, 2012 at 2:52 amThat NYT article really got me thinking. People have so many different feelings about Pinterest and I always hear people talking about their Pinterest guilt…honestly, I don’t regret the time I spend on it all because I’ve gotten so many great ideas and laughs from it. The blogs I’ve started reading from Pinterest pins are so great too :)

July 29, 2012 at 8:22 pmI’m sorry, but that whole TAL article is just a heaping pile of contrarian B.S. The author is essentially doing the same thing she so laboriously accuses TAL of doing- carefully curating the facts in order to promote a very narrow narrative. In this case her narrative seems to be, “…but but, here’s ANOTHER reason why This American Life is Stupid!” The fact that it sometimes features people who are middle class is not a valid reason for blanket dismissal. The whole thing was trollish, myopic, hypocritical, and gross.
Sorry Nicole! I don’t mean to trash your friend, but this made my blood boil (which was probably her point to some degree). I usually love your links- you have great taste is interwebs. The Pinterest article, in stark contract, I found to be well researched, fair, and an interesting read. Thanks for the link!
