Five Easy Pieces: My Current Wardrobe Staples

These are the easy to reach for pieces. The tops look great dressed down with jeans ( are my favorites), or tucked into a pencil or midi skirt. The is everything I want right now — loose but not shapeless, comfortable, understated chic. And thank you, fashion world, for making high-rise ‘in’ again! I feel my best in that proportion and when it’s currently trending, it’s so much easier to find clothes that work for me and my style.

5 Easy Pieces - Wardrobe Basics

  1. (so good!)

  2. (they also carry a few more )

I had high hopes of dressing in these and taking photos so you could see them on, but I have mostly been waking up, tiling the laundry room in grubby work clothes, taking a cold shower, and going to bed (but we finally got the hot water tank back in yesterday, woohoo!). Can I ask though, is it helpful to see the pieces I recommend actually on? Like those shorts. I called them out last week because they are my favorite find in forever. $16! Flattering! Cute! I want you all to have them and love them as I do! Are the brands’ product photos enough for you to get a sense of the fit, or do you like seeing them on a person (as opposed to model) too?

Definitely love seeing the clothes on! Models are great and all, but just not realistic.

Yeah, seeing clothes on a non-model is much better.

I vote seeing them on a person. It helps to have your recommendation, but really,it’s so frustrating because some clothes look nothing like the modeled version.

I’d prefer to see them not on a model and styled in creative ways. I dislike basics because they hide my personality – but you have personality in spades and I like to see how it comes out in your outfits!

I know the timing wasn’t good for you this time, but I also prefer to see the items on a non model person. Nice picks though.

    Fashion show! Fashion show!
That’s what my sisters and I used to shout when we had new clothes and wanted to show each other. Let’s see the outfits “in real life” as my four-year-old says.

My daughters refer to the fashion show after getting new clothes as PPA…post purchase appreciation. now everyone in the family has to participate, even my husband and son.

Thank you for the pictures and the prices. A lot of other folks don’t show anything so you have to click on every item and then it takes you to the website of the item, so much time involved. Some give you a little hint from the blogger like” I like this” or “you might like this”, no pic, no price! I hate that. So thanks again, good job!

I would love a post about where you find the awesome jewelry you’ve been wearing on instastories, the big funky jewelry trend must never end.
